If you care to hear it. I'm sure lots of you are tired of hearing about this but I need to rant! &c. )

Maybe it's wishful thinking... *sigh* I just can't bare to think that my beloved Robin Hood is ruined. It makes me want to cry.

Does anyone have any idea when we'll know for sure? I don't think I can stand waiting till next October!

With all this drama, it's easy to overlook &c. )

Thankfully, to cut the melancholy somewhat, I saw "Enchanted" tonight and it was wonderful! I just love the Disney princess movies, and this was so cute and funny and sweet — just perfect. That song "That's How You Know" is stuck in my head. :P

ETA: Or it could all be &c. )

Title: Foolishness
Rating: G
Pairings: Robin/Marian
Genre: Angst, romance
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters/etc. For entertainment purposes only.

Summary: A "one-off" about Robin and Marian's first meeting (after he has returned from the Crusades). This is Marian's reaction to seeing Robin at her house in the pilot of the series. Of course, Marian is strong and independent, but I couldn't help wondering what happened after the door was closed? What were her true feelings to Robin's return?

Thanks to [info]robinhoodbbc.

They've got the new trailer online! Click here and scroll down to "Robin Hood" on the right-hand side.

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!! I can't wait for this to be on again! I only hope that I'll have access to a TV on Saturday nights at school.

It's finally here, more Robin Hood! I just love this show wa-a-a-a-ay too much. :D &c. )

I kind of want to see this! Anjali Jay! She's so pretty and doesn't have her "Saracen" accent, heehee. (She plays Djaq in Robin Hood). She and Chris Pine look really cute together. ;) (i.e. see the film's IMDb page and all the pictures!)

In other news, I'm feeling physically anxious and stressed about camp. And I'm babysitting nine hours tomorrow and nine hours Thursday. The pay is really nice, but I spent most of today on my contact lenses! *sigh*

This song just started playing on my iTunes — "The Space in Between Us" by Building 429. It's great for Robin & Marian! And it matches with the wallpaper I just made. How perfectly coincidental. :D

Lyrics )

It's so much easier finding songs for Robin & Marian than Catherine and Mr. Tilney! Catherine and Tilney are too happy. Angst works better for fanmixes and videos, apparently.

That episode was awesome! And I loved Cary Mulligan. :D It was fun to see her in something modern and not in the 19th century.

I have made a picspam of the ep — I know, I'm getting into the bad habit of "picspamming" everything I watch. :/ (I haven't even gotten to posting some of them.) But anyway, on to the pictures! &c. )

I wish there could have been more of this episode — I liked the characters. :) Figures, with all the two-parters this season, this story was only one episode. Oh, well, it wouldn't work anyway...

And look who's back next episode! Can't wait! &c. ) :D

ETA: Woah — the guy in this ep, the guy from Persuasion, Finlay Robertson, is in a couple of episodes of Robin Hood! Small world. It's a very small part, just "the sheriff's first man," but still — I shall have to see if I can spot him! I would like to see more of him, I think.

On another Robin Hood-Persuasion connection, the guy who plays Charles Musgrove in Persuasion was also in the "Who Shot the Sheriff" episode. :P I recognized him.

Have you guys heard about this? They're making a "Gothic Classics" graphic novel which will include a version of Northanger Abbey — it looks really good! I originally heard about it on AustenBlog (Where else?) For more news, you can check out GraphicClassics.com.

Here are some pictures:

&c. )

Doesn't it look good? It's available at Amazon for pre-order. I'm thinking about getting it.

Oh, and ClassicFM's got a Jane Austen season podcast, with interviews for each Austen adaptation. They also have free audiobooks available, too! Though it doesn't look like they're available for too long. I'm not sure how that works.

Of course, if you pay attention to AustenBlog, you already know this. :P

AND ROBIN HOOD IS AVAILABLE FOR PREORDER AT AMAZON.CA FOR ONLY $65.00! Except the page at Amazon.ca looks a little vague. But oh well — that sounds like it's the best price it will ever be (considering I thought it would be close to $100) so I'll probably preorder it very soon! But what does the title "Robin Hood: Season 1 (5pc) (Dig)" mean? Dig = digital? As opposed to DVD? I'm confused.

Ah, I'm so excited! In just over two months Robin Hood will be out on DVD! :D

P.S. For you lucky Americans, it's only $55.99 at Amazon.COM, plus the information is more correct.

ITV has a trailer out for its Jane Austen season — you can see it here. It includes the new Persuasion, Mansfield Park and Northanger Abbey. I'm excited about NA the most! And for many reasons. I even have pictures to explain. &c. ) I can't wait. :D I really liked the novel, but the 1986 BBC version was terrible. *Shudder* I'm glad this story is finally getting its turn! (Here is NA 2007's IMDb page.)

I'm also excited to see Mansfield Park starring Billie Piper, though I want to read the book first. It's the only Austen novel I haven't read.

ETA: For more info on the American Jane Austen season on PBS, you can check out the summary at AustenBlog.

These will be airing in March i the UK, I believe. The DVDS are already avilable for preorder on Region 1 discs. And what else? Yes, and adaptation of Sense & Sensibility is also being made, but that is by the BBC and will probably air in September 2007 in the UK, right? The screenplay is being written by Andrew Davies, who has done Pride & Prejudice (1995), WIves & Daughters and Bleak House.

And on another note, here's ) a fun cap of Allan A Dale! I don't know why but I had to cap it. :P I think it's from the season finale.

Oh, and [info]three_nails brought it to my attention that the first season of Robin Hood is set for release in the US (North America?) at the beginning of June! YAY!!!!!! June 5th, actually.

You can read more about it here.

These really are the coolest things. I've always liked looking through them and they look so intricate. Anyway, I thought I'd share my favourite characters.

'Cause who doesn't just love Robin & Marian? (I apologize if you're sick of hearing about them from me...) Anyway, I'm having fun browsing YouTube.com while I have the chance, and there's a video with my favourite leading lady as one of my favourite female charcters. Plus James Bond (a.k.a. Sean Connery). ;)

Set to the tune of 'Come What May' )

On a side note, apparently Audrey Hepburn's son Luca Dotti was thrilled that his mother was going to make a film with James Bond — how cute! I saw "Robin and Marian" awhile ago, but the end is slightly depressing... I have to admit I prefer Jonas Armstrong and Lucy Griffiths with their happily-ever-after. (That is how it will end up — no one will convince me otherwise.) Sorry, got a little sidetracked...

The results are in. Yay! All of my favourite leading men are on the list! David Tennant, Jonas Armstrong, Toby Stephens, and even Richard Armitage! Both Robin Hood and Jane Eyre are in every category, but it's Doctor Who that has swept everything else away — for the second year in a row! I'm disappinted, because as much as I like Doctor Who, I love Robin Hood the most. And then Jane Eyre. But I'm happy that David Tennant won for best actor! I voted for him.

And Guy's proposal scene made it on the "Favourite Moment" list! So it's fifth, but at least it made it! That's what I voted for. (Being Canadian, I'm probably not supposed to, but... ;P)

Hopefully, with Robin Hood being so popular, it could air on Canadian TV... sometime. Or at least the DVDs should be released. Then again, I'm having a hard time trying to see all of Doctor Who — it's so sporadic. At least there's a "new" episode on tonight. (New as in the next episode from season two that I haven't seen).

Other honourable mentions include Ruth Wilson and Lucy Griffiths as runners-up in the "Best Actress" category.

I have been waiting for these results for far too long. I think it proves how bored I've been lately.

I've been browsing through YouTube and all the music videos (because fan videos are love). More specifically, I've been looking for Robin Hood videos and making a mini directory of sorts at the fanlisting. At the moment, it's mostly Robin/Marian videos. *sheepish grin*

I came across a video and I recognized the song immediately, though it was a surprise — "Lost Without You" by Delta Goodrem. Actually, I know the version by Jaci Velasquez, so on another note I was surprised that it was sung by two singers. It's not often you come across a Jaci Velasquez song, right?

Well, here's the Robin/Marian video: &c. )

Then, to my delight, I found a Margaret/Thornton video with the same song sung by Jaci Velasquez! &c. )

I was struck by how perfect this song is for Robin and Marian — well, for both couples actually. It has inspired me to make a fanmix for one of my fave couples, so that song will be on there. Here are some of the lyrics:
I know I can be a little stubborn sometimes
You might say a little righteous and too proud
I was looking for a way to compromise
Thinking maybe I could work things out

I thought I had all the answers
Never givin' in
But You loved me all along
And I admit that I was wrong

All I know is I'm lost without You
I'm not gonna lie
I could never be strong without You
I need You by my side

If I ever thought we'd never be together
'Cause of all my foolish pride
Don't know what I'd do
I'm lost without You

More?

It's perfect for Margaret and Thornton, too, no? I also love the song "It is You (I Have Loved" by Dana Glover. Perfect for R/M — from either Robin's or Marian's points of view. And Bella and John, as a matter of fact, like this video (it's just a slideshow of pictures, but the song is great, it's one of the only OMF videos!)
But now I know just who you are
And I know you hold my heart
Finally this is where I belong
It is you I have loved all along

It's no more mystery
It is finally clear to me
You're the home my heart searched for so long
And it is you I have loved all along

More?

And you've got to see this video of Guy of Gisborne — it's great! I think I have a thing for using old fifties/sixties songs.

I'm afraid my attention span has been lacking lately — I have no focus to even read through all my friends list and give though-out comments. I apologize. I'm in that kind of a funk where I never want to do anything, at least not something productive. :/

Wow, are we really 5 days into the new year already? This holiday has gone by so quickly!

For the past couple of days I was up at camp again for our staff reunion — it was wonderful seeing friends again that I haven't seen in half a year. Unfortunately, quite a few people couldn't make it, but there were still a lot of us who could. I genuinely enjoyed it all. The weather was nice nd warm — ridiculously warm for January. There was no snow, and the lake wasn't frozen! Crazy for this time of year. There was a bit of ice near the shore which the boys ventured out on. Amazingly it was strong enough to hold everyone's weight (except when they started jumping on it, haha.)

What was really cool was that you'd could see so much though the bare trees. The cabins looked closer together ow that they weren't hidden by leaves. And at night the moon was so bright that you could see everything, even in the forest. It was so pretty. (I guess I can't complain about not having snow or ice, especially since we weren't suffering from the cold, but I was hoping to see the camp for the first time covered in snow. And I wanted to walk out across the lake to the island.)

On another note, I have finished my two "Robin Hood" fanlistings! One for the show and one for Marian.

I also finished my scarf! It only took me four days, surprisingly. I love it! It's so soft that I want to make a matching hat. I'll need to buy some more yarn, though...

I need to take more pictures and post them. I always mean to, but I'm not very good at making myself take pictures. :/ Soon I should post some, even if it's just of random things like my room.

Yay, I've got the Robin Hood fanlisting! This is great. Plus, it will give me something to do to take my mind off of waiting for Christmas, and the next episode of Robin Hood. (Knowing me, I might not even see it til Tuesday! No!)

In other news, all my Christmas shopping is finished and wrapped. It's great. :) I can't wait 'til my family opens their gifts, too! I can't wait 'til Christmas, period.

For the past week (or just under) I've been fighting a cold/stuffy nose. It's horrible, because I can't taste my food. I'd much rather have no appetite than have an appetite and not be able to taste anything. Hopefully it will be gone by the time it's time to eat Christmas dinner! Lol. Thankfully the cold hasn't gotten too bad. I haven't felt too tired or sick or anything, just stuffed up. I've been drinking lots and lots of water, too, so I hope that helps. (I really need to drink more water, anyway.)

Ohmygoodness, I don't think I've ever laughed so much at an episode of Robin Hood! It was so entertaining. Cut for possible spoilers. )

I know that's all rather late, but Mondays are usually the best time to watch Robin 'cause I have the house to myself for the day. :) Unfortunately, Derek took his computer away for the day, so I couldn't see it 'til tonight...

Have I mentioned that I love this show? :P
